I have been focusing on improving my photography skills and traveling around the world,  attempting to get the most high quality and unique photos I can and learning a lot on the way.   I am completely self taught (with the painting as well) and find the challenge inspirational.  Photography is a fantastic way to travel and see the world.  My adventures have taught me many things and taken me to some far off locations as well as some very scary confrontations (see my sharks).

My goal through my work is to encourage others to see the beauty that still exists on this planet and to help preserve it for our future generations to enjoy.  This is my effort of sharing the treasures we have and I hope to inspire others to follow in their own way.

It all started with a love of animals and nature.  I have always wanted a career that involved both of  these worlds and I am now on a Photographic journey through the lens.  This is about my  4th art adventure.  I was very involved with painting at a young age.  This carried on for many years and I found a venue to sell my artwork by airbrushing  t-shirts at amusement parks.  After a year of this, I found that airbrushing t-shirts and hats in 5 minutes was shortcutting the work I was truly capable of.  I then moved onto airbrushing Pet Portraits on clothing at Dog and Cat shows.  This was enjoyable for many years and I then started airbrushing on Jean Jackets with Pet Portraits and exotic animals, adding rhinestones for that extra touch.  This proved to be successful again until I felt I was once again compromising the work I was truly capable of accomplishing.  Therefore, I moved onto paintings on canvas using traditional acrylic painting and airbrush.  Creating paintings in a photo-realistic manner.    I found this work to be very challenging and satisfying to my artistic needs but also very time consuming.

These original paintings would usually take between 2-6 weeks to complete and I would often work on 2 at a time just to keep motivated enough to finish a piece.  After many years of selling my paintings I decided to attempt my other passion of Photography.   I like to paint every so often now when I get a break between shows and photo trips, its a totally different world.

I participate in Art Shows as a source of revenue to keep my business alive.  These shows are a great way to get feedback from the public as well as a way to make a living from my art.   So Thank you to everyone for your wonderful compliments on my work and for purchasing my images.  I also license my images to magazines, educational books, brochures and anyone else who may have a need for my images.  I participate in photo contests and have won awards in:

Smithsonian, Natures Best Photography, Sport Diver, Naui, Monterey Bay Aquarium, NWF and Professional Photographer Magazine.

I hope you enjoy your journey through my website and that its brings you great joy and a smile to your face.  If you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me at
